School Group Activities


We run kayaking and stand up paddle boarding activities for school groups from our is superbly located base at Bundeena. With a grassy picnic area, sandy beachfront and minimal boat activitiy, the area is perfect for group activities. Make a choice from the activities below or think up your own paddling adventure and we make sure it’s a fantastic day out for the kids!


1 hr Kayak/Stand Up Paddle Board Experience - $17.50 inc gst (min 10 students)
A great start into these popular water sports. Learn the tricks of the trade and then enjoy a paddle around the lovely Simpsons Bay


2 hr Kayak/Stand Up Paddle Boarding - $19 inc gst (min 8 students)
2 hours of self guided kayaking or stand up paddle boarding around the gorgeous beaches and bays of Bundeena. Guided options: $150 extra for up to 16 kids and $300 extra for more than 16 kids

Weekly School Sport


Looking for a regular sporting activity for your school group? Our PaddleFIT - Kayak and Stand Up Paddle Board sessions provide a fantastic introduction into these popular sports which may become a life long passion! Sessions are run from our base at Bundeena

Cost: $12 pp inc GST (for a minimum of 6 weeks and 15 students)

School Holiday Programs


Our School Holiday Big Day Out is a great way to get the kids off the computers and into the great outdoors, where they can learn the popular sports of kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. This activity is available available to groups of 10-20 kids and is a popular activity for vacation care providers. (ask your provider if they will be running this activity) or you may choose to round up your friends and get your own group together.
Time: 10am - 2:00pm
When: can be booked any weekday through school holiday periods (excluding public holidays)
Bring:
hat, towel, sunscreen (we will ask children to apply at regular intervals), change of clothes, warm/spray jacket, morning tea, drink bottle and lunch
Wear: shorts/bike pants/leggings, rash vest (preferably with long sleeves, swimming costume, waterproof booties or sandals (Croc-style are good)
Cost: $33 per child - includes all gear, instruction and GST
Please note that sessions may be cancelled if weather is predicted to be unfavourable
Numbers: Minimum of 15 and maximum of 30 kids
What to expect on the day:
10.00-10.15 - Introductions
10.15-10.30 - Safety and Technique Instruction on land
10.30-11.15 - On Water Skills and Games
11.15-11.45 - Morning Tea Break
11.45-12.30 - Adventure Paddle out to the Sand Spit (or into Cabbage Tree inlet) for Lunch break
12.30-1.15 - Lunch Break
1.15 - 2.00 - return to base and pack up
Pre-Requisites: These sessions are suitable for children from 8 to 14 years. Children do no need any previous experience but must be competent swimmers
Parents/Guardians: It’s fine to stay around and watch the session - children can be seen at all times (and you can follow us along the sandbar for lunch break). For organised vacation care groups 1 carer/teacher can attend the program per 10 kids free of charge. Or take the opportunity to go for a paddle yourself, enjoy a bush walk (many nearby trails), relax on the beach or head to Bundeena or Maianbar shops for a well earned cuppa or luncheon.
