Looking for an easy, salty-haired day out that feels a million miles from the city?

Welcome to Bundeena Kayaks — where you can grab a paddle, glide across sparkling water, spot stingrays, and forget you even own shoes.

We’re tucked right on the sand at Bonnie Vale Picnic Grounds in Bundeena — the little coastal pocket on the edge of the Royal National Park that Sydneysiders should visit more often (but secretly, we don’t mind keeping it our hidden paradise).

🗺️ Where You Can Paddle

Our backyard is the chef’s kiss of kayaking spots. Calm, clear, and ridiculously pretty.

Here are some local faves:

Simpson’s Bay: calm, sheltered and perfect for beginners. Deeban Sandspit: paddle to a tiny sand island that disappears at high tide. Feels like your own private Bahamas. Cabbage Tree Creek: magical spot to explore on a high tide (bring a camera, it’s wild and beautiful). The Hacking River: if you’re feeling adventurous, keep paddling upriver into the Royal National Park. Audley: full-day paddle for legends with strong arms and snacks.

And if you’re not sure where to go, we’ll give you an easy map and some local tips before you head out.

🌞 When We’re Open

We’re usually open 7 am – 5 pm, seven days a week (weather permitting).

If it’s raining sideways or blowing a gale, we might stay dry — so it’s best to check our website or call first:

It’s ridiculously pretty — turquoise water, gum trees, pelicans, sunshine. You’ll spot fish, rays, birds, and maybe a dolphin if you’re lucky. No fancy skills required — we’ll show you the ropes (literally). It’s peaceful, screen-free, and way cheaper than therapy. You can reward yourself with ice cream or fish and chips after.
